I was born with the rare and incurable disease Syringomyelia . Syringomyelia is a disorder where one or more cysts occur in the spinal cord and thus can squeeze on your nerves and give many diverse problems.
In my case I was 45 years before the disease began to emerge. I went out to jog for with my 3. child when I suddenly felt my right leg failed, was very heavy and I had great difficulty lifting the leg. Over time it became more widespread and I felt there was like a 3 kg block around my right ankle every time I had to lift my leg. I wiggled often in the ankle, and could eventually not control the leg as it swung in an arc when I walk. Stairs and uneven road was not exactly easy for me to go on. When I had to lift my leg for example, by dressing or going into a car I therefore needed to use my arms to help. My right leg was gradually outwards so my feet pointing to the right side, I also limped because the foot could not rise from the ground.
At the same time I had due, to my many years of working in an office with computer, led many pain in my shoulders and neck, while I was unfortunate enough to also incur a so-called tennis elbow due to training of the leg.
